touch
she pushes against my leg
opening my hands to hold her
sweat beads and breaks along her back
a statue’s shadow stopped in gesture
her head turns and catches my breath
hands holding mine
she clings to me to pass this night
touches
and as quickly moves away
dina falls in bound in my arms
weary child eyes look back as her finger slides
and my eyes
become more timid than my hands
both of us are there
and I become aware
you see more clearly than I
the spaces that shift between us
then disappear
shared laughter never lies
and this time
I’ve caught amanda in disguise
walking through your past
demons shadow you protect you
haunt your presence with their rage
and insist you hold a window
but all I see is a mirror
hair brushes along her back
arched as a lioness tired of the hunt
through her touch I feel my skin
in her eyes I forget as a child
lost again
